Introduction
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to manage and supervise all warehouse activities, ensure efficient operations, and maximize warehouse productivity. The responsibilities of the warehouse supervisor include the supervision of the personnel, the coordination of the logistical operations, the assurance of the quality of the merchandise, and the preparation of the pertinent documentation. This position will supervise and coordinate the activities of the warehouse work areas to include the supervision, receiving, storage, inventory, and shipping of finished goods or raw materials. The successful incumbent will lead warehousing relationships and look for opportunities to increase efficiency. Working closely with the supply chain, a Warehouse Distribution Officer will be required to ensure production plans are updated and imported products are received and placed in a timely manner. This role will support the efficient and compliant operations of BAT's warehousing and shipping operations at the factory and any off-site warehouses. It includes ensuring compliance with all quality, traceability, and product safety guidelines. The incumbent is responsible for monitoring inventory movement activities to ensure that all systems accurately capture the correct volumes, locations, and status of inventory. What will you be responsible for?
- Oversee that all shipments leaving the warehouse are selected, organized, labeled, loaded, and checked for accuracy.
- The Logistics Manager assists in overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations.
- Ensure that all items received from production are properly received, checked, and delivered to the appropriate storage area.
- Organize all storage units in warehouses in an orderly fashion to ensure first-in, first-out (FIFO) rotation is maintained.
- Coordinate the movement of products between external sites and the factory in a timely manner.
- Carry out periodic inventories and stocks of finished products on request.
- Inspect the warehouse area for safety risks and environmental issues.
- Make sure all paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assume responsibility for the training and job orientation of warehouse staff. Act as an internal trainer to train relevant new hires.
- Schedule daily work assignments for all warehouse staff.
- Maintain attendance records, advise and discipline warehouse staff within current company guidelines.
- Assist Logistics Manager and Logistics Supervisor to reduce QSI issues.
- Support applicable ISO 9001 (QMS) and 14001 (EMS) activities and initiatives.
- Responsible for all weekly/monthly checks and monthly revenue recognition data for proper financial implementation and product readiness in SAP for sales and inventory turnover.
- Be the global team point of contact for primary/secondary transportation costs.
- Work closely with affected teams (warehouse, supply chain, logistics, etc.) to ensure daily, monthly, and annual goals are met.
- Gem and enforcement of directives.
- Working knowledge of all aspects of storage and shipping.
- You must always act in a professional and ethical manner and exercise good judgment.
- Must be detail-oriented and maintain a focused work ethic to ensure the precise operation of the storage facility.
