Columbia University's ICAP Institute, a global health leader located within Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, is seeking highly qualified candidates to serve as a Health Monitoring and Preparedness Officer. Public based in Mwanza, Tanzania.

The Public Health Surveillance and Preparedness Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Public Health Surveillance and Preparedness Supervisor to improve and prepare for public health by strengthening the capacities of institutions, local partners, and emergency management teams. health and public health of the district. Under the technical supervision of the Technical Advisor and Technical Officer-Public Health Monitoring and Preparedness, she will support facilities and community activities to deliver HIV services while mitigating the risks of COVID-19 and promoting initiatives that support the core competencies of regulation international health. s/provides technical assistance to health workers and volunteers to ensure that HIV services are robust and capable of withstanding public health emergencies and other health safety risks. Ensures that all in-person engagements for ICAP-supported training and meetings are conducted through COVID-19 risk mitigation measures. The position also supports the novelty of HIV-related activities in the region.
