Introduction:

Basic Diploma in Pharmacy
Diploma or certificate desirable in the field of inventory management, supply, nursing, health or paramedical
expertise:
Previous experience of at least two years in a similar or related position.
Desirable previous experience with MSF or other NGOs
Languages:
English, swahili
Objectives of the work:
Execute pharmacy/medical warehouse storage activities to maintain pharmacy stock above safety level and following recommended conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.) under the supervision of the pharmacy supervisor and in collaboration with the logistics team .

Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise requests and dispatches of materials to ensure their rational use.
- Receive and report orders and deliveries, identify and report possible discrepancies against the cargo manifest and store materials according to the established system to ensure continuous availability. It includes:
- Ensure good storage conditions for all medicinal materials in the pharmacy according to pharmaceutical standards to ensure continuous availability.
- Make sure the fill-in entries on the inventory and software cards are correct.
- Perform or participate in periodic inventories, including EPREP stock.
- Prepare orders for the different consumption units (sections, wings, etc.), ensure correct packaging and dispatch, and report any anomaly or change in consumption patterns to the pharmacy supervisor. Inform the pharmacy supervisor as soon as the stock reaches the alert limit.
- The control of the warehouse facilities to ensure that the materials are kept in good conservation conditions includes:
- Control the temperature in the warehouse and ensure that products requiring a cold chain are properly stored and properly received, stored, prepared and transported in accordance with MSF cold chain supply and chain protocols.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the facilities (stock pharmacy) and in close collaboration with the Logistics Department, maintain the refrigeration equipment.
- Control limited access to the warehouse to authorized personnel and ensure doors and other exits are secured. Immediately inform the person immediately responsible of any problem that arises during the work, especially in relation to damage, loss, attempted break-ins or theft in the warehouse.
- Ensure items to be quarantined (ongoing quality alerts) or quarantined (lot recalls, expired or damaged items) are removed from inventory and secured securely.
- Track stock levels with respect to alert limits, stock depletion, expiration dates and medications until expiration in the next six months. Prepare reports and send them to the supervisor.
