New Job at CARE, Senior Director, Gender-Equal Strategy Implementation

We are looking for a senior director with a vision, implementing a gender equality strategy to lead the main initiatives within the gender equality framework so that they are well operational at the country office level, particularly through the coordination and management in some selected countries that we will be able to measure improvements in gender mainstreaming, impact and evidence, and institutional transformation over the life of the strategy.
The Gender Equity Team is responsible for the global management and implementation of the gender equality “impact driver” for the CARE USA Strategy, 2021-2025. The increased focus on gender equality in CARE USA's strategy reflects the organization's seriousness about deepening CARE's impact on gender change for a greater number of people. Fulfilling this organizational mandate requires both technical expertise and managerial capacity for the effective implementation of the strategy, particularly at the country level.
This new leadership position will contribute country operations experience as a valuable assisting element to the gender, strategic, and operational technical expertise of the Gender Justice Team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and support to gender integration country offices (SI1).
- CO2 Impact Scale Support and Evidence for Gender Transition (SI2)
- Provide a global perspective on Diversity, Equity, Belonging and Inclusion (DEBI) Planning and Implementation
- Advice and support PSI VP and senior managers
- Join PSI SLT and serve as a Senior Leader within the Gender Justice Team
Educational Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Country office leadership experience (over 7 years)
- Proven track record of gender mainstreaming in operational and programmatic functions at the country office level Strong oral and written communication skills
- Political acumen and skill in coalition-building for transformative gender change, both institutionally and programmatically
- Sufficient experience and attractiveness to interact with and influence senior executives on gender policy and program issues.
