 China Dasheng Bank Ltd is an integrated commercial bank approved by the Central Bank of Tanzania. It is the first bank in Tanzania created jointly by Chinese state-owned companies and private companies. The bank has a branch located on the ground floor, Extelecoms House, Samora Avenue. The bank's head office is also located on the mezzanine floor, Extelecoms House, Samora Avenue. China Dasheng Bank invites suitable candidates to apply for the following positions:

Job Title: Head of Credit and Recovery

Responsible: General Manager

Contract duration: Three (3) years

Duties and responsibilities

1. Head of a credit department
2. Formulate a permanent review of the Bank's credit policy and establish a control and discipline system that ensures compliance with the credit principles and guidelines established in the credit policy document.
3. ongoing review of sector caps and discretionary powers; portfolio measures; Including industry limits, income limits, risk rating, delinquent loans, risk acceptance criteria, securities acceptance, and credit risk matrices.
4. Ensure that the allocation policies are aligned with the bank's credit policy document, comply with the provisions of the Banking Law and coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure that the corresponding interest allocations and suspensions are affected in the accounting system of the bank. Bank.
5. Manage the credit evaluation system, ensuring that appropriate reviews of credit proposals are conducted in a timely manner.
6. Ensure continued maintenance of high-quality portfolio risk management, especially in line with CDB's growth strategy.
7. Implementation of an automated process to reduce manual interventions and thus increase efficiency in the provision of personal and corporate credit products.
8. Provide relevant ongoing training to all Bank staff involved in the lending business to address identified skills gaps.
9. Identification and management of the Bank's substandard and delinquent asset portfolio in line with the credit policy document and recommendation to EXCO and the Board of Directors, minimizing losses and facilitating the full recovery of any exposure to the Bank.
10. Provide technical support to the Executive Committee in the management of the bank's credit portfolio and in the review and approval of credit proposals.
11. Manage the credit management aspect of the portfolio, including ensuring that all required security documents are in place prior to disbursement.
12. Organize, manage and stimulate the human capital available within the credit department creating an adequate organizational structure and implementing development programs to improve efficiency and productivity.
13. Perform any other functions assigned to the Director-General.

Education and experience required

Bachelor's degree in Banking, Economics, Finance, Accounting or equivalent from a recognized institution with at least 10 years of relevant work experience in credit management in a renowned company, 5 of which must be at a first management level.
