Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain 100% effectiveness and efficiency of all related plant production through operational leadership, and use the right technology to consistently produce the right quality in the right quantity.
  • Directly responsible for the operations, maintenance, and efficiency of machinery, transportation, buildings, and surrounding areas.
  • Management and Communication
  • Responsible for cost control.
  • Improve manufacturing activities by translating business and customer requirements into a system that ensures, measures, and controls manufacturing performance.
  • Identify and improve the asset base and use it to achieve the business plan and provide customer satisfaction through new technological developments, improvements, and supplier management.
  • Implement policies, systems, and quality standards that allow the company to fulfill its commitment to product safety with customers, operational safety with employees, the community, and the environment to reduce the cost of non-compliance.
  • Develop and achieve synergy between technical and human capabilities to maximize manufacturing performance by maintaining the discipline, well-being, and morale of workers, giving instructions, and training management personnel.
  • Develop manufacturing systems and processes and the opportunity for efficient product, process, and packaging innovation by applying scenario planning and design to manufacturing and process development.
  • Responsible for the efficient use of resources and maintenance of all plants and machinery within the plant, such as boilers, buildings, transportation, wood fuel, and water, at all times.
  • Work with human resources staff to recruit, interview, select, and hire an adequate number of employees.
  • Provide supervision and direction to employees in the operating unit in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Staff training, orientation, and development, including supervision of the new employee on board and planning and professional development opportunities.
  • Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility, expect accountability and regular feedback.
  • Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for disagreement around ideas and conflicts, rapid conflict resolution, appreciation of diversity, as well as cohesion and support, and working together in an effective in enabling each employee and department to succeed.

  • Review performance data including financial reports, activity reports, and spreadsheets, to monitor and measure departmental productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness.
  • Manage the preparation and maintenance of the necessary reports to carry out the functions of the department/legacy. Prepare periodic reports for management, as required or requested, to follow up on the achievement of the strategic objective.
  • Communicate regularly with directors, general managers, directors, and other designated contacts within the organization.
  • Feature-rich interfaces, e.g. Other factories, engineering, real estate, medical, SHE and security, human resources, IT, unions, customer development, planning
  • Safe operating procedures and procedures for advanced innovation processes and machines.
  • Responsible for the protection of the environment, health, and safety during the execution of the project.
  • Responsible for risk assessment, including hazard and operability studies (HAZOP), for the health and safety of company employees; contractors, and the community in general;
  • Carry out task risk assessments and if necessary make a list of experienced professional help or even outside help for this.
  • Ensure/establish safe work systems and ensure that all employees and contracted personnel comply with them
  • Ensuring that all aspects of the operation or operation comply with specified environmental, safety, and health standards and Unilever legal requirements.
  • Make sure all health and safety considerations are observed.
  • Oversee security at all locations (active and inactive) in coordination with the Security Manager.
  • Examine and review projects to monitor compliance with building safety rules and other regulations.

Qualifications (minimum for this job)

Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, civil, production) or Bachelor's degree in food science and technology. Food processing experience will be an added bonus.

2-3 years of experience and extensive knowledge in food processing; tea processing is preferred.
