Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job

The Deputy Field Director supports leadership with personnel management and day-to-day operations of the assigned area of ​​responsibility. Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the real estate division to the highest agricultural standards and improve productivity by expanding and maintaining automated harvest operations by providing the best harvest and post-harvest practices and identifying potential HM fields.
  • Plan and supervise daily operations by supervising manual plucking and harvesting of staff to ensure acceptable quality standards of properly harvested and processed green leaves for the plant.
  • Plan and implement the annual agricultural practices of the division of the farm and the use of pruning and fertilizers.
  • Ensure management is managed by providing regular crop forecasts, validating salary inflows/outflows, employee payments, and financial expenses fully within budget.
  • Manage industrial/employee relations in the real estate department, conduct disciplinary cases in accordance with CBA/Employment Law and company disciplinary procedures. Promote good coexistence between workers and the neighboring community.
  • Manage the infrastructure of the department and maintain the required standards. Include all Rainforest Alliance best practices.
  • Achieve business goals aligned with JTBD strategy and improve performance culture through business transformation.
  • Feature-rich interfaces, eg factories, finance, HRBP, unions, legal, etc.

Property management

  • Operation and maintenance of the site fully and productively throughout the year through judicious planning of irrigation timing, pruning, fertilization, weeding practices, etc.
  • Ensure that the department is held to the highest possible standards at all times and that company infrastructure and associated facilities are robustly protected and maintained.
  • Provide effective management of employees working within the department function consisting of four female/female managers.
  • Manage, distribute and maintain plucking equipment within the department and reorder new plucking equipment from central stock when required.
  • Monitor the progress of all tasks within the department to ensure that all specifications are met within the agreed time, budget, and quality requirements
  • Comply with and assist in the implementation of standard policies and procedures within the department related to sustainability and related functions.
  • Review the space requirements of the future new tea development area and develop and implement a management plan
  • To carry out any other duties as directed by the line manager based on job level.

Department of Finance and Contracts

  • Responsibility for controlling and managing production costs, field costs, general costs and the general budget; Work with the property manager on the budget for the next several years.
  • Ensure cost-effective maintenance and support arrangements are provided and regularly reviewed, utilizing internal resources and external/external contractors where necessary.
  • Anticipate future developments in areas, real estate infrastructure, pick up fixtures in advance, ensure proper planning and budgeting for maintenance and repair work, and improve continuity of service.
  • Work with the property manager and other assistants to implement the best benefit arrangements and reduce costs where possible.
  • Site Safety Operations supports the SHE site manager or coordinator in managing safety and health improvement activities to achieve site-wide excellence. He/she works with on-site SHE teams to define and implement improvement plans in order to achieve sustainable SHE excellence by reducing injuries and illnesses as measured by KPIs.
  • Support on-site implementation of SHE global/cluster strategy, policies and standards to achieve excellent sustainable results
  • Participate and command and Security Command Component
  • Monitor the legal compliance of the site and ensure that the site complies with all local/national regulatory requirements and Unilever standards.
  • Work closely with occupational health personnel to identify and mitigate risks that can lead to occupational health problems.
  • Assist the SHE or Coordinator in the development and leadership of internal crisis committees and security committees; Support the site leader to lead the investigation and analysis of critical incidents
  • Perform trend analysis of incidents, near misses, safe behavior observations, and in-depth compliance audits
  • Assistance in the provision of training programs.
