Accountants (02) Position

STAMIGOLD Company Limited – Biharamulo Mine is a subsidiary company of the State

Mining Corporation (STAMICO) operates a gold mine. The mine is located in the

Biharamulo Forest Reserve, southwest of Mwanza in the Kagera region. In order to operate the mine effectively and efficiently, the Company invites applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill existing vacancies, as detailed below:-

Accountants (02) Positions

Work Station: Biharamulo Mine Site

Contract duration: two years, subject to renewal

Duties and responsibilities

Participates in the preparation of final accounts and bank reconciliation statements;

Ensures that final accounts or bank reconciliation statements are prepared on time;

Prepare payroll calculations and reports;

Help in preparing periodic income reports;

Assists in performing periodic bank reconciliations;

Ensuring that statutory payment and all deductions are remitted to the respective authorities and properly accounted for;

Perform other related functions assigned by the superior.

Experience in the mining industry will be an added advantage.

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance/ B.com/ or Related Field;

Possession of a Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting will be valued;

Must have computer skills;

Experience in a similar field will be an added advantage.
