Procurement Officer Position (01)

STAMIGOLD Company Limited – Biharamulo Mine is a subsidiary company of the State

Mining Corporation (STAMICO) which operates a gold mine. The mine is located in the

Biharamulo Forest Reserve, southwest of Mwanza in the Kagera region. To run the

mine effectively and efficiently, the Company invites applications from qualified Tanzanians

to fill existing vacancies as detailed below:-

Procurement Officer Position (01)

Work Station: Biharamulo Mine Site

Contract duration: two years, subject to renewal

Duties and responsibilities

Prepare price quotes and selection sheets;

Maintains a record of all contracts awarded annually;

Coordinates the acquisition and disposal activities of all the departments of the contracting entity;

Prepare other procurement reports that may be required from time to time;

Collects and maintains procurement statistics;

Registers the hiring requests of the users;

Dispatches stock invitation;

Coordinate inspection team to carry out inspection of received goods to ensure quality conformity;

Follow up on expired orders from suppliers;

Performs any other function assigned by the immediate superior.

Experience in the mining industry will be an added advantage.

Minimum qualifications

Possess at least a bachelor's degree in purchasing and logistics management, related field or its equivalent from a recognized institution who has been Certified as a Professional Supplier (CSP) or CPSP;

Must have computer skills;

Familiarity with TANePS will be an added bonus.
