BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Career Options Africa, is an HR consulting firm specializing in recruitment, HR outsourcing and immigration support within the East African region with offices in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and now the Democratic Republic of Congo and Burundi.

In order to improve our operations in Dar Es Saalam, COA is seeking to fill the above position with a suitably qualified and competent Human Resources Officer with experience working in a busy business environment

THE JOB

Human Resources Officer duties involve a wide range of support activities within our human resources department, from coordinating meetings to maintaining our employee database and posting job advertisements. An important part of your role will be to act as a liaison between Human Resources and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. He will also assist in the creation of policies, processes and documents.

Main tasks and responsibilities;

1. Assist with the daily operations of human resources functions and duties.

2. Provide administrative support to Human Resources executives.

3. Compile and update employee records (hard and electronic copies).

4. Process documentation and prepare reports on staff activities (staffing, hiring, training, claims, performance evaluations, etc.).

5. Coordinate human resources projects (meetings, training, surveys, etc.) and take minutes.

6. Respond to employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations.

7. Assist in the preparation of the payroll by providing relevant data (absences, bonuses, licenses, etc.).

8. Contact public services when necessary.

9. Properly manage complaint and claim procedures.

10. Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews.

11. Conduct initial orientation for newly hired employees.

12. Help our recruiters find candidates and update our database.

QUALIFICATIONS

The position holder must have the following qualifications;

1. Bachelor's degree in human resource management, social sciences and related areas.

2. 2 years of practical experience in the field of human resources.

3. Experience in office administration and staff scheduling.

4. Experience in payroll management.

5. Good knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS or HRMS software packages.

6. Basic knowledge of labor legislation.
